Academic Results

One of the main assessments we use to assess student performance is the TerraNova. Results for the Village Prep kindergarten students this year are displayed below.

In addition, the students are given the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment), which is used throughout the year to measure growth and monitor progress. Results from October 2009 and June 2010 are displayed below for comparison:

        October 2009: 
                61% scored at Level A (which is below Level 1) 
                11% scored at Level 1 
                27% scored at Level 2 
                1% scored at Level 3

        June 2010: 
                16% scored at Level 4 (expected level at the end of kindergarten year)
                81% scored at Level 6 and up

We also administer internal assessments based upon the Ohio state academic benchmarks for kindergarten. Results are displayed below: 
                87% of kindergarteners meeting goals in Math 
                82% of kindergarteners meeting goals in Reading
